Ice cream, anyone?

Hey there! How are you? Thank you for dropping by! Would you like some Pastillas ice cream or Kesong Puti? (wink)      I remember having a sort of ice cream party at pre-school for my birthday. It was a surprise and probably my first proper birthday celebration. As we all know ice cream is one of the most popular staples in any occasion. Here in the Phillipines, dirty ice cream is very popular, affordable and ideal for parties, too! But hey, it's not dirty at all! Haha! Pinoy ice cream has a wide selection of flavors. So we tried the newest from Magnolia which are Pastillas and Kesong Puti (not a paid blog). Saw some awesome photos of these yummies on IG which made crave for some. I really wanted to try the Avocado flavor but the store we went to didn't have one, sadly.      Here are 2 ways on how to enjoy ice cream the Pinoy way. I hope I did justice to it. 😁 My personal favorite is the ice cream in a bun.      Monay or Filipino dinner roll is

A short visit at Ilocos Sur

It was just another normal rest day for me and hubs. No plan of traveling or whatsoever. We usually spend the weekends at the mall, market, out discovering new cafes or just relaxing at home while we watch k-dramas, anime for hubby and do some cooking, too. But last weekend was different, we had an unplanned trip to Ilocos Sur.      On a saturday morning, after Dom's shift we decided to take a break so I suggested a place. Our home for this travel was at Apo Nena Bed and Breakfast. Situated in Camp Hope Brgy. Suso Sta. Maria, Ilocos Sur, this place is so homey, laid-back, just a perfect place to relax. They do not offer wifi but globe telecom works well within the area, just in case you need one. I've discovered this BnB through Instagram and it immediately caught my attention. I'm a sucker for anything about nature and relaxation. It's very Instagrammable, too.                         We left Baguio at 12 noon and arrived at our BnB around 5 in t

Wow! It's been a while and I am speechless. A lot has happened in the past years. Yes, years haha! My last post was about my cousin's prenup practice(who is,by the way ,now happily married). We've been to Sagada, explored some sites here in Baguio, and had food trips. There's a lot that I'd like to share.      First thing, I'm actively posting on my first IG account gracys_home  again, sharing my love for food and cooking while I still post on my personal account _uramazinggrace_  photos from travels and what-not. I'd say food community is the best! It's a happy place, growing and very inspiring. So, you can expect more food photos and posts here soon!                                                                  Discovering local bakeshops, cafes, restaurants and carinderia is one of my goals and I'd love to share them all to you.                              I will be sharing home cooked meals and places we love to eat a

Baguio city ends the month with a colorful and happy Grand Street Dancing Parade. We were at Session road at 6am but many spectators like us arrived there as early as 5am .  However, the parade started past 8am.
